This workshop provides key skills for optimizing Type 1 Diabetes management through advanced carbohydrate counting and insulin dosing. It covers carbohydrate calculation, macronutrient impact, insulin-to-carb ratios, meal adaptations, and postprandial glucose control.
Emphasis is on educating individuals with T1DM, enabling healthcare professionals to guide informed food choices and insulin management confidently.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Apply Advanced Carbohydrate Counting by differentiating basic and advanced methods, accurately calculating carbohydrate content using food labels, apps, and estimation techniques and assessing the impact of macronutrients on glucose levels.
- Optimize Insulin Dosing by determining carbohydrate-to-insulin ratios, adapting carbohydrate counting for various meal settings such as restaurants and high-fat meals and managing delayed postprandial hyperglycemia.
- Enhance Patient Education and Support by effectively teaching carbohydrate counting, guiding informed food choices, and empowering patients to manage insulin dosing confidently.
